Invalid Port Command

Yep. . .

It seems that we have a winner here. I have a bunch of computers behind a little Linksys router connected to a Cisco Catalyst 2900XL switch, which is connected to other computers including a Windows2k Server. It can host port number 21 without a problem. However, when that port number is changed to ANYTHING other than 21, you get the impression that you are successfully ftp'ing in, but you get the infamous Invalid Port Command ("500 Invalid Port Command") either from an FTP client or something similar from within Internet Explorer.

Any suggestions out there. I have been through the web and there are a lot of others going through this.

Open your browser
Go to Tools/Internet Options/Advace
Check "USE Pasive FTP..." under browsing.
