It doesn’t look like much but…could it transform your wired network?

Some say that this device is targeting niche’ markets..well that may be true, but what I see is yet another solution that addresses some customer pain points..

One of those pain points is:

1. If you have a number of Point of Sale terminals that are still in good working condition, but there all connected to you network via a wired Ethernet/and or RS-232 connection..

How would like to have the speed and flexibility of today’s most recent 802.11ac standard without ripping out the PoS terminals?

2. For health care and manufacturing customers you may have wired legacy devices that also need a bit of  Wi-Fi transformation/updating….

ks_1.pngThe client bridge provides wired devices with no native wireless support and can easily be integrated into a wireless LAN (WLAN) using the HP 501 Wireless Client Bridge. The HP 501 Wireless Client Bridge can bridge up to 15 Ethernet client devices running a legacy networking protocol to the WLAN, extending wireless network access to a wide range of protocols. The device also has an integrated serial to TCP/IP converter that enables an RS-232 asynchronous terminal device to communicate with a compatible station on the network.
