LAN card trouble when sound card working and vice versa

Hello!
I have this Lan trouble i cannot solve.
I put an old 10 mbit ISA lan card and it worked, but later i discovered that the sound card - also ISA, is not working any more.
The device manager says "not enough resources".
Now i deinstalled LAN card cause i need sound, but is there any solution to make them both working?
I have windows 2000 installed ...
Please help me anybody - thank you in advance.

Re: LAN card trouble when sound card working and vice versa

Normaly ISA cards need to have setup for IRQ and IO.
These cards need a configurationprogram (mostly floppy). You need to startup youre PC in MS-DOS mode, run the program, change the IO and/or IRQ, save, and reboot. Sometimes a coldreboot is needed.
The most soundcards are at IRQ:5, if you're using a cheap card (3com, NI-compatible), change it to IRQ:10 and you're fixed. These cards don't need a IO configuration.

Hi,

if you look into the properties of the lan card and there resources, does win2k show any conflicts?

greetings,
