Mapped network drive: Media-protected & Permission denied

Hi,

I configured HP Unix 11.3 as my NFS server and W2k8 R2 as my NFS client.

I mapped the network drive alright and i could even access the contents and read them.

The challenge is that i couldn't write to the drive: It says Media-protected; permission is denied.

I don't know wether it has to do with the hp-ux 11.3. I have been achieving this successfully without struggle, on the hp-ux 11version 2 environment.

Please help !

Regards,

Yaboto

Please show us what you did.  What is the entry in your /etc/dfs/dfstab file?  What are the permissions on the directory that you shared (ll -d /dir)?

What NFS client are you using?  How did you mount the NFS share?
