NFS Mount point

I have an HP-UX server with 11.11. I am trying to mount an nfs mount point

I have used sever ways to mount this mount point

mount alvmnrvnetapp02:/vol/VOL01_A01S_NFS_H02/hpsrv1backup /BACKUP1

What happens is it will hang and not mount. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: NFS Mount point

What is the requirement? What you want to monitor? How you are doing? What is the environment you are working on?

Re: NFS Mount point

NFS is always two parts, serve and client. From your client side, the mount seems to be hanging so it looks like a server issue. However, I see the word: netapp in your remote system name...looks like you'll have to work with the netapp people to get the exported disk properly setup. HP-UX is not Windows or VMware, etc so be sure that the storage team understands that they must export their disk  to match HP-UX requirements.

You may want to test the client's ability to mount a filesystem by picking one that already works for an HP-UX system. If that works, the the netapp people have some work to do.
