NIC Teaming on Win 2008 Core with Hyper-V

Hi.

I have a DL380 G5 with Win 2008 x64 Core and Hyper-V. I have installed the PSP 8.15 and configured teaming. Everything works well if I use the default VLAN. However, when I enable VLAN tagging for Hyper-V child partitions, they are unable to communicate with the network. External switch is a Cisco 2950 with trunking enabled on this port.

Any ideas what could be wrong? It looks to me like HP Teaming driver does not accept VLAN tagged packets from Hyper-V?

Regards, Igor

Did you install and configure HyperV before Install NCU? It should be done that way, if it was like that, you should try configuring same VLAN ID├В┬┤s within the NCU.

Found the following info that may be of interest with respect to Hyper-V:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968703

The sequence of installation is also important: Hyper-V should be installed BEFORE teaming is installed.

And specifically for VLAN tagging
