Problems downloading League of legends

I have tried in vain to download LOL but always get the following message: "RADS Error/ Could not connect to the HTTP server. Please check that your internet connection is enabled and that your firewall is not blocking access". However the internet access works just fine and I've authorised Windows firewall to accept the LOL application so I'm at a loss about what to deo.
I'd be grateful for any advice on how to tackle this obstacle.

So, normally I'd ask you what kind of switch you have, topology etc. but...

Have you tried google? I get 7790 results on "RADS Error/ Could not connect to the HTTP server" all related to LOL game players. I'd check there first.

If you by any change do have an HPN product in your network that you think is causing this error, I stand corrected and hope someone in the community can assist you.

There are also a lot of youtube tutorials regarding this issue. I don't play myself so no idea what the exact fix is and how to resolve it.
