SNMP Help required

Hello,

I have HP-UX system running 11i. I would like to know, which version of SNMP is currently running on my system how can i upgrade it to latest one. Where do i get the software ..?

Can anyone help me in this..?

I'm afraid You will have to use Net-SNMP if You want to run a current version of SNMP (v3, that is). Otherwise simply see the snmpd man page and /etc/SnmpAgent.d/snmpd.conf

net-SNMP is available from sourceforge:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=12694

Looks like they have one in binary form for your system.

Do a what on /usr/sbin/snmpdm. That can tell you the currently installed SNMP version

# what /usr/sbin/snmpdm

Learn What to do ,How to do and more importantly When to do ?
