STREAMS/UX ERRORS
Hello
I've an HP9000/L1000 with HPUX 11.00 100 BaseT Lan. That communicate via routers with other lan equipment and TCP communications are reset every 30 to 40 min
I notice strams/ux error messages in /var/adm/nettl.LOG00 looking like:
5321 704 tcp_rput_other: case T_ERROR_ACK, ERROR_pri
5321 183 tcp_wput, T_ORDERL_REQ out of state [c500,147b] TCP_SYN_SENT
Thanks for help

Re: STREAMS/UX ERRORS
How current are you with your Patches. This may be a simple as getting the latest Networking patches.
I would recommend using the Custom Patch Manager. It will analyze your current configuration and indicate which patches you need to get to become current.
Hope that helps.

Re: STREAMS/UX ERRORS
Yassine, it could be because a Cisco router is sending the HP many pings, and packets are dropped. What is happening here is that
a T_ORDEL_REQ was issued to an endpoint that was in the TCP_SYN_SENT state. This is not a valid state to receive this, hence the log messages.
My suggestion is to ensure you are patched with the latest ARPA, LAN and STREAMS patches.
