Hi everyone,
The SSL of the company am working at expired and the cost of renewing the SSL certificate is $400.
Can anyone suggest where i can find less expensive SSL certicate, SSL certificate that can be trusted, and has a free trial?
If anyone can suggest a very trusted SSL certificate, i won't mind if there are no free trials.
any advise you can give me would be of great help. i would very much appreciate it if the cost is not so expensive.
thanks,
jonathan

Solution
Hello,
a) From memory, check these free options
firstly:
http://cert.startcom.org/
http://www.cacert.org/
b) Netcraft runs audits of SSL certificate
authorities. One from 2006 is here:
http://news.netcraft.com/SSL-survey
You can order latest audits from them (they
charge annual fee).
c) You did not specify which CA you use currently. Some options (in no specific
order of importance):
http://www.sslca.com/
http://www.entrust.net/
http://www.geotrust.com/
http://www.comodo.com/
https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/ssl/ssl.asp?ci=9173
http://www.thawte.com/
http://www.verisign.com/
http://www.digicert.com/
In other words, there are plenty of them :)

VK2COT
