World Readable and Writeable Directory on Anonymous FTP

Hi,

Changing permissions for ftp/pub will resolve the vulnerability CVE-1999-0527 or not.

If not to resolve the vulnerabilty CVE-1999-0527 what actions need to be taken.

I am using HPUX B.11.31 64bit.

First let me apologize for the dealy in our reply.

I belive it is a very old vulnerability. I didn't find any issues with hp-ux for this in our internal database. Most of the recent vulerabilities are fixed in the latest product release (https://h20392.www2.hpe.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=WUFTPD26).

If you got this reported by any 3rd party vulnerability scanner, please check with the vendor and update the scanner database.
