help pcmcia network card...(urgent)

ih!...I have a problem...my father give me an armada 1560d without any software..I have installed win95 and all work fine except for the network card...the compact netelligent 10/100 from the compact site doesn't work and I need it for school but I don't want to buy another card...help me please (sorry for my english)

What doesn't work? Does the driver install successfully? Is the device/any device flagged in Device Manager? Is the PC Card NIC indeed a Compaq Netelligent 10/100 card? Do the driversinstall OK and everything looks OK in Device Manager but you cannot communicate? If so, what are you trying to connect with? A LAN? A domain controller? A broadband router for internet access?

Sorry to ask so many questions but we need info to solve a problem.

No the driver doesn't install properly..this is the problem...i can't find a driver for this card..on the card label: kernel 10 base T/2...

ah!...windows doesn't find the name of the card but windows see the card...

Did you install the System Enhancements software from the compaq site?

The Revision History for it mentions fixing a problem with PCMCIA.


You should probably install it then reinstall the netelligent software. Do we know for sure that the PCMCIA card is from Compaq? We are talking about a separate card that looks like a fat credit card that fits in a slot on the notebook, aren't we? Not the builtin NIC? That one needs the Intel driver at
