how to do network failover/load balance on HPUX11.23
dear ITRC,
I have an rx4640 with one dual port 10/100/1000T NIC. The servers come with HPUX11.23. Is there any way to make both port in network failover/load balance mode?
Is it possible to do so?

Re: how to do network failover/load balance on HPUX11.23
Hi,
You could use the APA product for both LAN load balance & failover - available here:
http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=J4240AA
OR
HP Service Guard for LAN, System or SW failover - available here:
http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1905BA
HTH,
Jeff

Re: how to do network failover/load balance on HPUX11.23
Hi,
You can use Auto-Port Aggregation (APA). Given that you only have one NIC card (eventhough dual port), I'm not inclined to suggest MC/ServiceGuard because of the redundancy requirements in configuring a clustering solution.

Isralyn
