I have Rx7640 with AD385A Card. Which FC cable is certified for this card?
I found
C7525A: 16m Fibre Channel Cable LC 50/125 M/M
C7530A: LC-SC Fibre Channel Cable 16m 50/125 M/M
Is the cables comes with storage work for this?
221692-B23 15m LC duplex 50/125 Multimode Fibre Channel Cable
Both seems to have same specification. Any one tried?
In fact I found the same part number (221692-B23) in AD386A Manual.
Any input is highly appreciated.
Note: I have procurve 82xx model with 10g Module (with SC connector)
Regards

Re: "AD385A PCI-X 266MHz. 10GigE SR" - Cable
Thanks for the response. I saw these documents already. What I have is "221692-B23". will this work with this card? Since it's not listed in the document. But I found both have same specs.

Re: "AD385A PCI-X 266MHz. 10GigE SR" - Cable
AD385A: (with LC connector):
http://www.hp.com/products1/serverconnectivity/adapters/ethernet/10gbe/specifications/index.html
221692-B23 :is a Fibre Channel 15m LC/LC cable , and should support this card. You should check the other end as well for the type of connector.
221692-B23 : HP 221692-B23-OB Fibre Channel Cable, 15m, LC/LC, . for connecting 2/4GB devices.
221692-B23 Fibre Optic Cable 15m LC/LC Duplex 50/125 M/M
http://docs.hp.com/en/A6826-96009/A6826-96009.pdf
Page:11 (A6826A)
The core size specification 50/125 M/M micron is also matching with (221692-B23).
Hopefully you can use it. However getting advice from HP would be wise before starting the installation .
Hth,
Raj.

Re: "AD385A PCI-X 266MHz. 10GigE SR" - Cable
C7525A :: 16m Fibre Channel .
221692-B23 ::is 15meter.
So technically it is not seems to be incompatible. And I am sure there will be normal connectivity and same bandwidth.
Cheers,
Raj.

Supported, known to work -> warm fuzzies all around
Supported, not known to not work -> an HPite may be in trouble
Supported, known to not work -> an HPite is in trouble
Unsupported, known to work -> lucky today, unlucky tomorrow?
Unsupported, not known to not work -> there but for the grace of Turing
Unsupported, known to not work -> no, it was not deliberate ;-)

Re: "AD385A PCI-X 266MHz. 10GigE SR" - Cable
The cable 221692-B23 should work with the card. But you need to check with the other side device as well.
>> Is the cables comes with storage work for this?
Normally cables came with the storage if specified in the PO. Servers have less role in this.

They have same specifications. I will anyway test it if possible.
Thanks for the responses.
