rp3440 and x25 traffic
we have in our Network old HP servers (R & K) class where support x25 card .
we migrate all old servers with new HP servers (rp3440) this new server does not support installing x25 card .
i am still receiving traffic from remote site through x25 .
so is there any method to use x25 card with rp3440 ? any types of converter , external unit ? any recommendation ?
best regards

Re: rp3440 and x25 traffic
I think you need an external setup or gateway that converts the x25 traffic and then puts it on the network as normal traffic.
There probably are external units or some kind of converter on the market. If there is no such card on http://partsurfer.hp.com then you need an external device or gateway system.
I don't suppose keeping an R class around is an option.

Re: rp3440 and x25 traffic
You need an X25 card that is compatible with your rp3440
You find the compatible cards here

Re: rp3440 and x25 traffic
There is also XOL, which is X25 over LLC2, which requires LAN hardware on your server to send the X.25 packets converted to LAN. You also need a router rather than an x.25 switch. See details here: http://docs.hp.com/en/J2793-90059/ch03s03.html
