sc virus
Not real sure how we were infected by scvhost.exe, but think it came through a "Windows Update" download Oct. 25. Problems didn't occur til we re-booted on Nov. 6.
Non of our Virus software or our diagnsotic software were able to identify it. Very frustrating

You are welcome tho I don't think you got it through the windowsupdate site. You didn't have someone open one of those emails that claimed to come from Microsoft did you?
It's a good idea to run Zone Alarm on one of your PCs with it set to bring up an alarm if it gets pinged or hit by anybody. That way you will know it is out of the system for good. www.zonealarm.com
