tcp_ip_abort_interval

Hye, I work on a cluster (4 HP Servers) and I must modify this parameter on each server for our application. There is only our application on these servers. Is there a known risk ?
Thanks

Re: tcp_ip_abort_interval

I don`t think there would be any risk more ever this seems to be application requirement.

Can be done on the fly.

Re: tcp_ip_abort_interval

no risk as long at it is larger than tcp_ip_notify_interval.

you also need to understand what this parameter means.

It is the max time a connection will retry to send a segment before receiving an ack.

So the only risk is that connection being reset after the time you specify if connectivity is lost.
