Feature Request: Read-Only Access to initiator
I'd like to request a feature in NimbleOS. I use Veeam Backups from Storage Snapshots over iSCSI and for this to work with Nimble each Veeam proxy has a iSCSI initiator to Nimble. If the volume automounts upon discovery or someone accidently initializes the disk from Windows Disk Management all data in the volume is now lost. I'd prefer if Nimble would allow me to set read-only access permissions to the Veeam proxy initiators so I dont have to worry about someone screwing up in the proxy and killing the entire voluem.

Re: Feature Request: Read-Only Access to initiator
Hi Todd,
This might be a concern with regular direct-SAN backups, but I don't think it's an issue with Backup from Storage Snapshots. It is only the volume snapshot that is presented and mounted to the Veeam proxy, not the production volume. This is one of the benefits of the Backup from Storage Snapshots feature.

Re: Feature Request: Read-Only Access to initiator
Thank you for the input. So if I select "Snapshots Only" in the initiator access to the volume I should be safe?

Re: Feature Request: Read-Only Access to initiator
I'm not sure you even need to give the proxy access to the volume. I think Veeam will take care of the access for you during the backups.
