HPE Discover Recap: PTC & its innovative solutions, OEM hub offerings & more

AudreyCox

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), has named PTC “Technology Partner of the Year 2019 -Edge and IoT Solutions” for its innovative solutions and deliverance of meaningful business results for joint customers, among other achievements.

HPE and PTC: Industrial IoT at the Edge

Understanding how to improve production performance and reduce cost – and translating that information into IT requirements – can be a challenge for the enterprise. Together, PTC and HPE deliver proven, scalable industrial IoT (IIoT) & augmented reality (AR) solutions from the edge to the cloud — enabling organizations to accelerate deployment, speed time-to-insight, and facilitate readiness to deploy proven, scalable and hybrid IIoT solutions. PTC and HPE make the industrial edge possible through simplifying the convergence of IT + OT (Information Technology + Operational Technology) systems and software.

Driving Digital Transformation at the Edge

Enterprises that have leveraged the full joint-offering have achieved accelerated deployment through validated solutions to address IT and OT components in a secure fashion; faster decision making with a shortened time-to-insight ratio where data is generated to avoid cost and reduce risk; and shorter market readiness timelines through rapid innovation and accelerated expansion.

This year, PTC's booth at HPE Discover 2019 focused on the ThingWorx® industrial IoT innovation platform, Kepware® industrial connectivity, and Vuforia® augmented reality products that are making factories smarter, faster and more cost-effective with converged operational (OT) and information technologies (IT).

Here were some dynamic PTC Intelligent Factory Solution sessions at HPE Discover 2019:

  • HPE Intelligent Factory demo in the HPE Accelerating Productivity area, featuring Condition Monitoring, Predictive Maintenance and AR (Augmented Reality).
  • From vision to reality: Results from three IoT use cases at Texmark’s “Refinery of the Future”: PTC joined women technologists from HPE, Texmark, CB Technologies and Intel to discuss Texmark’s two-year journey to create a Refinery of the Future (RotF). Texmark highlighted results from video analytics for safety, augmented reality to speed maintenance and remote guidance of technicians.

Discover 2019 Las Vegas featured many other booths on the show floor and one of the most noteworthy mentions would be the HPE OEM Hub (DEMO # 1008), which experienced a great deal of foot traffic across the 3 days. The OEM hub this year hosted 11 customers and live demos - all touching on successful use cases around hybrid cloud, Intelligent Edge, and HPE Greenlake in a variety of industry verticals. Attendees got personalized tours on the show floor & were able to see real-world solutions, showcasing how HPE is changing the way we live and work.
