Space Symposium 2022: Check out the major highlights!

The worldโ€™s biggest & most-awaited Space event- the 37th Space Symposium is back & now up and running through April 4 - 7 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Like the previous years, the Space Symposium 2022 was a great success and witnessed attendees from all sectors of the space community, bringing all these groups together in one place to provide a unique opportunity to examine space issues from multiple perspectives, to promote dialog and to focus attention on critical space issues.

Here are more details about all the major highlights & happenings at Space Symposium 2022:

  • NASA Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy and Associate Administrator Bob Cabana were amongst the speakers at the Space Symposium 2022. They spoke about the agency's Moon to Mars exploration approach including Artemis, technology, science, commercial partnerships, and more.

  • Visit our HPE OEM booth and get to learn about edge-to-cloud hardware and services capabilities that HPE OEM can provide for your edge compute and consumption services requirements, to give you that "out of this world" experience.

  • HPE has joined the event (booth #1457) and Dr. Mark Fernandez, the principal investigator of Spaceborne Computer-2 at HPE, was a part of the Venturing Further in Space, with AI panel. HPE, NASA and Microsoft will demo the AI Hand Glove experiment at the HPE booth during the conference.

  • Announced during the 37th Space Symposium Conference, Project Kuiper is Amazonโ€™s plan to build a network of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit, to provide high-speed internet to anywhere in the world. โ€œWe still have lots of work ahead, but the team has continued to hit milestone after milestone across every aspect of our satellite system. These launch agreements reflect our incredible commitment and belief in Project Kuiper,โ€ Dave Limp, Amazonโ€™s senior vice president of devices and services, said in a statement.
  • Chief of Space Operations, Gen. John W. โ€œJayโ€ Raymond addressed a crowd of military and civilian space industry leaders during a speech at the event, praising the Space Forceโ€™s achievements & purpose while noting ongoing threats, challenges.
