主機時常Crash跳至BOOT?

1.OPENVMS 7.1,VAX63主機,時常crash,請問如何檢查問題原因何在的步驟?

2. SYSGEN>中的 DUMPSTYLE與SAVEDUMP功能

因為目前主機啟動時會有

Can not map SYSDUMP.DMP on the System Disk

是否須修改此參數

1. 系統當機的原因很多 (hardware problem, faulty privileged-mode OS or user codes..).

建議您先檢視 error log 和當機時的 console information. 同時確定 dumpfile 可以產生.



dumpfile 的分析, 有興趣的話可參閱 "OpenVMS VAX System Dump Analyzer Utility Manual"

2. 通常是無dumpfile或dumpfile太小. 請確定 SAVEDUMP=0 and DUMPSTYPE=0 or 1.



DUMPSTYLE=0 (full dump)

DUMPSTYPE=1 (partial dump)

(see SYSGEN> help para DUMPSTYLE)



dumpfile 的位置通常在 sys$system:sysdump.dmp (除非 DUMPSTYLE not 0 or 1).

若是 full dump, 其大小必須 "memory_size(in page)+2000blocks".
