Minimum 16 core licenses required per server.(basically Standard/Data Center)
Minimum 8 core licenses required per physical processor.

Standard Comes in two different flavors a 16 core and a 24 core pack. A 16 core one would be what you need. 

From a cost standpoint it is around the same cost if you have 16 or 24 cores as old Proc based system.
