ARCSERVE 2000 simple question.

We use ArcServe 2000 and ArcServerIT on our servers and I was planning on creating a script that would download each server's arcserve.log file.

Question is: In order to delete and create a new ArcServe.log file, do I have to stop any services or can I simply delete the file and arcserve will re-create a new one no problem.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Re: ARCSERVE 2000 simple question.

ARCserve re-create a new one with no problem.
You can do it in any version and while the services are running.
