ATITASK error message nightmare!

At start up I get the error
message "The ATITASK.EXE file is linked
to missing export ATICWDDE.DLL:init." I
would love to find a fix for this.
Second problem. I can't get my
childrens favorite "online games" at
popular sites (nickjr.com or
disney.com) to play any more the games
will not load, I have gotten an error
message related to ActiveX. Could these
problems be related? I would greatly
appreciate any suggestions

Re: ATITASK error message nightmare!

I have this same error. It is related to ATI display driver icons. Says the atitask.exe file is linked to missing export aticwdde.dll:init. Then "a device attached to the system is not functioning. Have you found any answers to this? I contacted ATI and am waiting for response.

I get the same "atitask.exe" error message on start up. Have you found anyone who has helped you on this issue?

Re: ATITASK error message nightmare!

From your Display Properties page, select Settings -> Advanced to bring ATI Control Panel.

In ATI Control Panel, select the Options tab.

Uncheck the following:

1. "Enable ATI taskbar icon application"
2. "Show ATI icon on taskbar"

Click Apply.

You may need to restart your system. This should remove the ATITask.exe to execute during boot up.
