BSOD in Windows Server 2019, KMODE Exception not handle, bnxtnd.sys
Hi All
My server - HPE Proliant DL 385 Gen 10 may cause BSOD due to driver bnxtnd.sys error, and also error ID 23 will be logged into Event log:
HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-Port 535FLR-T Adapter: Firmware returned failure status.
Anyone can give me a hand? Thank you.
OS: Windows Server 2019
CPU: EPYC 7502
NIC: HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-Port 535FLR-T adapter (Driver version: 216.0.143.3, Firmware version 5.2.3.0)
NIC: HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331i Adapter (Driver version: 214.0.0.4)
Setup: Two 10Gb ports assgined into a single SET switch, and a vEthernet is assigned to Host OS, SR-IOV is enabled for Hyper-V VMs.

Re: BSOD in Windows Server 2019, KMODE Exception not handle, bnxtnd.sys
Hi HSerHK,
When you say "HPE Ethernet 10Gb 2-Port 535FLR-T Adapter: Firmware returned failure status. " where do you see this messsage?
Do you always see the BSOD with the same driver & how frequently it happens? If driver version is latest could you please try downgrading it to previous version to see if it helps.
Regards,
I work for HPE
