Boot and start usb cd-rom with tablet pc

Is there a possibility to boot from a usb cd-rom drive and map it in dos? I want to boot from cd-rom after that start ghost and recover an image I created from the tablet pc with several program's installed.

Depending on model, there may be a BIOS upgrade you could apply to help matters. Please post your model number.

My Tablet is the TC1000, my cd-rom is a compaq external multibay for this tablet.

Check if your BIOS settings (assuming you have such) mention Legacy USB. If so make sure it is enabled. Then check the boot order.

I have solved the problem with a usb_cd.sys this was what I was looking for, now I can load ms-dos and start the cd-rom player. This works fine for me!
