Compaq Armada M700 in standby mode; keyboard does not respond

Compaq Armada M700 in standby mode; keyboard does not respond

When i have shutdown my compaq armada M700 in standby mode, and later turning on my computer, the keyboard does not respond.
What could be the problem?
