DL585 fails installing Windows Server 2008 64
Hi @all,
we try to install Windows Server 2008 64bit on a DL585 G2, but the setup crashes with a blue screen (STOP: 0x0000005C).
It is also discussed on
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winservergen/thread/817b0881-a17c-498c-aa43-33fbed6ba0b7
Tried to install with PXE, DVD, Ilo and HP-Smartstart.
Ilo Version is 1.80.
Any Ideas?

Re: DL585 fails installing Windows Server 2008 64
Found the answer:
The solution for my problem was:
-Boot
-Push "F9" to enter BIOS
-"Advanced Options" > "Linux x86_64 HPET Option"
-Disable this Option
-Safe the BIOS Changes (ESC, ESC, F10)
Description of "Linux x86_64 HPET Option"-BIOS entry:
This option modifies the IRQ routing for the HPET Timer to work-around an OS issue that may result in a kernel panic during boot in certain Linux x86_64 (64-bit) OSes.
The following supported OSes are affected:
-RHEL4 u3 x86_64
-RHEL4 u4 x86_64
-SLES9 sp3 x86_64
HP has worked with Linux providers to address this issue in future revisions of these OSes.
As it seems, this option is relevant for W2K8 too...
