Error Message help
I was hoping someone would be able to know how I can get rid of an error message
RUNDLL
Error Loading c:/WINDOWS/image.dll
The specified module could not be found
This message comes up everytime I turn on my computer. It comes up twice.
Could someone please help me?
I don't know what made this start happening, but it's been a couple of months and I haven't found anything I could do to get rid of it. I don't believe my computer has been damaged or slowed down, but I would like to resolve the problem.
Thank you
Heidi

Re: Error Message help
Within msconfig, click on the "Startup" tab, and unselect the entry that has c:\WINDOWS\image.dll

Re: Error Message help
You can also try Jon's suggestion of msconfig in safe mode,
During boot keep hitting F8 and when windows start you get an menu, choose save mode and continue with Jon's plan of disabeling it.
If hijackthis can not fix it you can also delete the 2 registery key's manualy from the registery.
Open Startmenu->Run
Type regedit and hit enter
1. this value should be deleted:
"Image"= "rundll32 Current folder\image.dll,UpdateDll fs"
You can find it on the next registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
2.Also delete this value:
"Image"= "rundll32 Current folder\image.dll,UpdateDll fs"
You can find it on the next registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HTH,
Ronald
