File copies from Samba ->Windows

I need to move a large number of directories and files from a Samba share (on an AIX 5 server) to a Windows 2003 server. (I am a Windows guy so...)I have tried Robocopy but it fails (either skips everything or Access Denied). Xcopy works, but I loose ACLs and timestamps. Any suggestions from either the Windows side or Unix?

Re: File copies from Samba ->Windows

We have a Samba Shae on a Linux box and it appears like any other share to the Windows machines. I suggest using a Windows browser to connect the share (make certain you have all the necessary permissions) and copy or cut what you need using Windows standard file transfer methods.

Re: File copies from Samba ->Windows

The ACLS wouldnot be retained after the transfer on the windows 2003 server. Because the authentication and security protection on AIX and windows are WAY TOO different.
What kind of authentication are you using on the Samba Server?
