Hello, I'm trying to upgrade a firmware for HP NC543i 2-port 4x QDR IB/10Gb Adapter in HP ProLiant SL390s G7 on Windows Server 2012 according to instructions here to version 2.9.1530.
I've installed Mellanox Firmware Tools (MFT) 3.5.0, the command 'mst status' gives correct results:
MST devices:
------------
mt26438_pci_cr0
mt26438_pciconf0
But when I try to use flint to query PSID, I have an error:
PS C:\Windows\system32> flint -d mt26438_pci_cr0 query
-E- SPI flash #0 (vendor: 0xc2, memory type: 0x20, es: 0) is not supported.
-E- Cannot open Device: mt26438_pci_cr0. MFE_UNSUPPORTED_FLASH_TYPE
So I can't proceed to firmware upgrade. Please advise, how to solve that problem.
It's interesting that "HP Mellanox Online Firmware Utility" correctly identifies PSID, but it can only be used to upgrade to 2.8.0 firmware that I already have:
List of Mellanox IB Adapters detected on the Server.....
[1] mt26438_pci_cr0
Infiniband card Info for mt26438_pci_cr0:
PSID HP_0200000003

SolutionThis was solved by upgrading to the last Mellanox Firmware Tools (MFT) package 3.6.0 (WinMFT_x64_3_6_0_27.exe). Make sure that you install all package content. The correct output after upgrade is:
PS C:\Windows\system32> mst status
MST devices:
------------
mt26438_pci_cr0
mt26438_pciconf0
PS C:\Windows\system32> flint -d mt26438_pci_cr0 q
