HP \ Compaq needs to update Deskpro EPa C500 Bios.

I manage a quite large network (5500 Client computers). I've been having a problem with Windows XP on Deskpro EPa C500 systems locking up, BSODs, etc. The only event that pops up is one related to ACPI, event id 4 & 5.

Event ID:4
Type: Error
Description: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0x71), which lies in the 0x70 - 0x71 protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

At the end of all of this Microsoft suggests I get the latest bios from the Manufacturer. That is what I currently have installed (3.10). I have tried forcing XP to load a different HAL but that creates it's own set of problems. Has anyone else come across this issue and come to a satisfactory solution?
