HP JMeter usage

Hi,

Is it possible to use HP's JMeter for monitoring java applications running on Solaris / Unix / windows?

I have installed the software on windows, but was unable to connect to unix server on which the java application is running.

I'll see if my Java colleague can answer the question.
Are you going to try to monitor HP-UX with it?

Re: HP JMeter usage

Hi,

You said you were unable to connect to a unix server. Was it an HP-UX server?

The real-time monitoring feature in HPjmeter uses a native-code shared library that loads into the JVM. We currently provide the shared library for HP-UX. Consequently, you can only do real-time monitoring of Java processes that are running on HP-UX servers.

The HPjmeter gui can be installed on Windows, Linux, or any other system that has Java 5 installed.
