IEXPLORE error when printing
I have HP Desk Jet 812C, when I print I get this
IEXPLORE error.
Any reason why this happens and can it be prevented???
Or do you need more info, like the actual complete error message???

Re: IEXPLORE error when printing
It would be most helpful if you could post the complete error message. We can
try to help you out but you'll need to supply all the details of the error,
including what you were doing when you received the error, the exact error
message, operating system version and service pack/release level, list of
applications running and versions, etc.
It's a little hard to pinpoint what might be causing it at this point. Please
post more details and we'll try to give you some suggestions.
Best regards,
Jamie Hughes

Re: IEXPLORE error when printing
brought up EXCEL, I printed an spreadsheet in EXCEL
and got the following errors: (when it is close to being completely printed)
(It prints the document ok)
I have recently updated to the latest printer driver
HPFCFG11.EXE. I have gone through many of the Printer
Help steps for SPOOL32 errors, with little success.
EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in
module ISM.DLL at 0167:02241e04.

Stack dump:
(In the past when the internet was up and I was printing something I would
usually get a SPOOL32
or a IEXPLORE error)
I pressed control-alt-delete to see what programs are active, and to be honest
with you I do not know what half of them are. And that may be my problem??
During start up, I know I initialize my scanner, printer, MSOFFICE, and I have
been using ALL-ADVANTAGE
tool bar, I use QUICKBOOKS. And that is about it.
(As I said previously I have a HP Deskjet 812C, a HP Pavilion 8580C, and HP
4200C ScanJet Scanner.)
Operating System is Windows 98 Version 4.40.310.
I am sure you would need additional info to pinpoint
what the problem is.
Any suggestions on how I can try to eliminate the problem?? Do I need to go
back to reloading everything, I hope not because I am uncomfortable doing
this....

Re: IEXPLORE error when printing
Thanks for the additional details. I may have a fix for you! There is a known
problem with the symptoms you describe that sometimes references ism.dll,
spool32, etc. The error occurs because a portion of the printer driver code
that isn't needed for printing is being accessed.
Bring up Windows Explorer and open the C:\Program Files folder. You should see
a folder named Image Server. Right click the Image Server folder and rename it
to Image. Exit Explorer and restart the computer.
I'm not sure what the frequency of the error was before but check the above and
post another message and let me know if that fixes the problem. I hope this
works out for you.
