Installing NT
allows me to create a 2000 mb. disk partition for the NOS, or an extended
partition. The problem, is that all cloning software I have used will not clone
an NTFS partition larger than 4000 mb. And the 2000 mb. partition is too small.
I have tried doing a regular NT install-which allows me to create the correct
partition sizes, but the NOS will not start, due to problems with the SCSI
drivers---does anyone know how to override the partition sizing when using
Netserver navigator

Re: Installing NT
I think that there may be an option during the setup procedure (although I'm
going on memory here, so forgive me if I'm wrong). When you reach the "Install
NOS" screen, there is a 'Change' button. If you hit this, then I think you are
given an option to specify the size of the boot partition by typing it in the
appropriate field.
Hope it works out for you,
Barney Grice.

Re: Installing NT
short of 4gig for the nos drive. What you need to do is format you nos drive to
ntfs on another machine that is running nt. You would attach your new nos drive
as d:> to the second machine,
doesn't matter if the second machine is workstation or server, format it to
ntfs to whatever size you want. After the format take the drive and put it back
in the original machine and install nt, preferably booting from the nt install
cd and when it asks what to do with the drive just tell it to install without
reformatting. Also remember you can't extend the nos drive. Once its built and
installed thats its size for life.

Re: Installing NT
Have you tried downloading the SCSI driver and using it during the install of
NT rather than autodetecting it? Also, consult these Microsoft TechNet
Articles - Q197667, Q224526 and Q119497. These articles will enable you to
boost your system partition to 7.8GB. Also, you probably don't want to use the
Navigator CD if you want to get pass the 2GB limit. You will want to use the
NT CD directly. Hope this helps you out.
Good Luck,
Gerard

Re: Installing NT
to the 3rd NT Set up disks (its under system32\drivers). Then try to install
from the setup disks again.
