Instlaling a software
Hi all;
I have to install a mirror software to mirror disk.
Do I have to be on console to read a software (any software)or I can install it from my workstation by doing telnet.
2nd question is how do I intall a software in unix environment.
thanks in advance for help.

I'm assumming that you're referring to HP-UX here.
You can do the install across the network from telnet, but the perferred meathod would be standing at the console.
How to install the software?
Check the install directions for Mirror-UX, but you will want to su to root, mount the CD, launch swinstall, supply the path to the mounted CD, enter the codeword to enable the install, mark Mirror-UX for install, and start the install.
