Log every change to OS from an install file
Hi,
I need to know every change that a install program, does to the OS, the same way that a MSI software program does.
The problam is that i need to find a free software, or a free way to do this, if there are any.
If anyone knows something that can helpme, it will be apreciated.
thanks in advance
regards,
hugo.

You probably need Altiris Software Virtualization Solution:

Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: Log every change to OS from an install file
hi, Ivan Ferreira
i actuatly didn't know about that software, and after reading a little bit about it, it looks really handy, and i will try it, but this doesn't seem like exactly what i need.
What i've done so far, is inside a virtual machine, i've installed Microsoft Standard User Analyzer and used to capture the installation procedure, i've also used wininstallle (the old free version, this is not free anymore) to create an msi package and at the same time also log the instalation procedure. Although i still need to check a few things, this seams to do the trick.
if anyone has any advice, feel free to share, thanks in advance,
hugo.
