More than 1.4 million MCPs and MCSEs

I am preparing for CISSP certification and found the free online quiz useful @http://www.securenode.com but also across this quote:

"There are more than 1.4 million MCPs, MCSEs, and MCSDs; and more than 240,000 CCNAs. Take the leading edge. BE AMONG THE ELITE OF IT PROFESSIONALS. GET SECURITY CERTIFIED!"

Can someone validate this. I am MCSE but are there really so many MCSE's in the world. What is the future of MCSE's?

If you don't know where you are going, you will never get there

Re: More than 1.4 million MCPs and MCSEs

Hi,

I don't have any stats on that. But MCPs, MCSEs, and MCSDs means a lot of people. Think that every NT4 MCP is counted here, and this total is including all categories.

I think that the only point is to think : is it valuable to be MCSE as far as your career is concerned, or not ? It seems that the answer is still yes, and that migrating to MCSE 2003 is also a good idea for your revenue...
