No POST for Pavilion laptop zt1000
My laptop froze right after booting up XP. I attempted to reboot, but only received status lights and it will not go into POST and a blank LCD screen. If I let it sit for a while it will go into post and then freeze while booting up XP displayed on LCD screen. I'm thinking it might be a CMOS battery problem... I'd appreciate any input... thanks.

Did you try going into SAFE mode? While starting up press F8. I've had the same rebooting problem after upgrading my graphics card once or something else. I was able to fix it through SAFE mode but forgot how..

Turn out to be bad memory... removed memory and all is ok.
