Norton Ghost does not properly clone HP Omnibooks' HDDs

I was trying to replace HDDs on several notebooks using Norton Ghost 12 as a cloning software. All 3 notebooks (two Dells and 1 Omnibook 6000) had Windows XP installed. I did not have any problems with Dells. With HP Omnibook though after the cloning procedure was over, the new clone disk contained the data but became unbootable. The disk itself is OK - it worked when used for Dell notebook. What could be the reason - and what is the best way for HP notebook HDD cloning?
