Pavilion ZT1180 Not Working

My Pavilion ZT1180 just died as well. The power comes on (AC/DC) but it does not boot-up. It looks like the motherboard is fried. In my research on this problem, it looks like this is a very common problem with this computer. Since the warranty's expired, it will cost over $600 to replace the motherboard! Does anyone have any other suggestions?
