Presario 2500: cursor jumps around

OS=XP, Logitech PS/2 mouse

There are frequent times when typing, email in particular, that the cursor will jump from it's current location to where the pointer is located. This occurs even when palms are not rested on the keyboard.

Is there a driver that can correct this issue?

If there is, it would be on the Logitech website. I would have given you a link but you didn't provide the mouse model number.
