Prolly an easy question for people

i just got a new hp, and i was adding and deleting programs i thought i didn't need. Under add/remove windows components, i think i deleted something i needed. After i did that, my cd drive does not detect cds or can burn them. Does anyone know what i need so it will be able to work normally Again?

You probably deleted Roxio or whatever your cd burning program was. Do yourself a favor and do not restore it. Get nero, its way better. And if after reinstalling the software doesnt do the trick, go to Device Magager (Start>Run> devmgmt.msc) and click uninstall on your cd burner. Then restart, it will reinstll your cd burner.

Yup,

Looks like the same to me.

Did all the programs came installed.
Otherwise you might be having a CD Burner software CD with you.
Check it out.
