Quick Start Guide for Canon BJC 250

Hi,
I need a Quick Start Guide for an old Canon BJC 250 printer trying to be used in a Presario 4500. Or at least the instructions for installing the driver. Or even better the installation disk.
We've downloaded and installed the BJ_v397 driver which is supposed to be used with Windows 95 but are still having problems. The printer passes the printer test but when trying to print something all we get is a vertical line of gibberish at the extreme left hand side of the page.
It acts like it's printing but when you look at the page it's blank (looks like it's out of ink)except for the line at the left.
Is there a forum for Canon printers? I haven't been able to find one.
Thanks

You need to go to Canon for support. HP will not have a Canon forum because they do not support them.

The drivers you downloaded are for 95/98 and 3.x.

A users manual can be found here:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cpr/pdf/Manuals/BJC250_user_manual.pdf

Canon support is located here:

I guess I should have said I'd already been there. I downloaded a user's manual for the printer and it refers you to the Quick State Guide for installing the driver.
This apparently was a separate brochure supplied with the printer.
Thanks.
