Restoring HP

Recently I had to use my retore disk with my HP. Know I can't get Microsoft Works to work. I have tried to uninstall it and it won't let me, saying that the uninstall is disabled. When I try to reinstall it I get these messages: Set up could not move Calendar file: C:\Program files\mswksal.wed and C:\Program files\wkcalcat.dat.
What's the problem, and what's the easiest way to fix it.

Re: Restoring HP

Try to move the files (check out if they are read only, they should not be). The location to move the files to is version different :
The Calendar files are stored in different locations, depeding on the version of Works used: the Works 4.5 calendar uses the MSWKSCAL.WCD file in your \Program Files\MSWorks\Calendar folder. Works 2000 and 6.0 use MSWKSCAL.WCD and WKCALCAT.DAT and the files are stored in the folder \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared.

Good luck,

Dries
