Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.

S-video cable

I have an HP pavilion DV5220US computer and a JVC television. I plugged the S-video cable into the S-video out on my computer and the other end of the S-video cable into the S-video in port on my television. However I am unble to see files from my computer on the television. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong
Thank
Bryan

Re: S-video cable

It's possible that the S-video out on the computer is set up as a second display. Go to the control panel and click on Display, then the settings tab. There may be a two icons for screens, one of which is grey (disabled). Click on it and enable it.
