Screen capturing software

Hi,

I am looking out for a software to record the screen shots and store it for later reference.
Actually, during netmeeting our colleague configure some applications. We want to capture the activities while he performs.

Is there any software which automatically captures these screens ?

Thanks,
Shiv

Re: Screen capturing software

Hi Shiv

If you press Print Screen button on your keyboard, the screen shot will be copied to the clip board and you can paste it to Word or other program as picture.

Re: Screen capturing software

Hi Shiv

You can do that by area, full screen, client area, windows or object with Paint Shop Pro (http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=CorelCom/Layout&c=Product_C1&cid=1152105040688&lc=en)

Good luck

Re: Screen capturing software

I use a combination of print screen (alt-print screen and shift - print screen) and a software called Paint Shop Pro. It allows multiple screen captures without having to copy and paste like print screen requires.

Also with Paint Sop Pro you can you can define the area you want with cross hairs to capture or the whole screen.

Makes it a little more versatile that just the old freebee print screen.

Alos there are other software like SNAPIT that also work too.

Re: Screen capturing software

I have used an old freeware program called printkey 2000 V4.00 for about 6-7 years. This program has since gone commercial but the freeware version does everything that has been mentioned here. I found a V5.10 copy of the freeware version at http://www.woundedmoon.org/win32_freeware.html

If you have any questions, e-mail me and I can send you the V4.00 version that I have.
IF you do it more than twice, write a script.

If you want to use full video capture, I have had good success using CamStudio, a free product that works fairly well. http://www.camstudio.org
