Sporadic server reboots Stop error 0x0000000A

I have a dl380 G3, that is rebooting up to 4 times a day. Each time, the management logs stated show stop error Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x0000000A (0x80FFFFE8, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x804F1918))

the firmware level is up to 7.10 and the os is Server 2003, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sporadic server reboots Stop error 0x0000000A

Hi

This reboot can be for various reasons the things you need to look into are
Take the server down and run diagnostics to make sure all the hardware comes clean, also better to upgrade the firmware to the latest.
Then the application on the server if hogs the resources can also cause the server to go down many times
This could be a genuine hardware issue either the motherboard or the memory migth hvae to be replaced.Confirm before you replace any parts.

Re: Sporadic server reboots Stop error 0x0000000A

Thanks for the speedy response. I was thinking of having the memory replaced, it has 4 256 dimms although no failures report in SIM nor predictive failures. The box was upgraded to 2k3 about 6 months ago, however, I did have the problem prior just not as frequently.
Is there a resource that could be used to identify/ troubleshoot these stop errors

Try installing this hotfix:

And this is the Linux System Administration forum ;).

since updating the firmware on the controller to the 7.2 level, it has been working like a champ. Could have been an issue
