Upgrading from Windows 2008 to Windows 2008 R2, HP agent problems

When we upgrade our Windows 2008 servers to Windows 2008 R2 we have run into a small problem.

The HP agents work fine when on Windows 2008 (8.15, 8.30), but when upgraded to Windows 2008 R2 the agents will stop working, all we get in the SMH is a timeout error and no items displayed.

If we install a Windows 2008 R2 server with HP SSD 8.30 from the start there is no problem, but upgrading does not work even if the Windows 2008 server has HP SSD 8.30 before upgrading to Windows 2008 R2.

We have also tried forcing a re-install of the SSD with no success. Have not yet had the opportunity to completely uninstall all HP drivers and reinstall, due to the amounts of restarts involved and the fact that the servers are very much in use, but we'll try to get to that as well.

However, has anyone else seen this problem and/or know of any solution or workaround ?
