Win 98 / Log On / Domain

To increase security on the Win 98 log on
I changed the registry's key "MustBeValidated"
to 1. I have a user name and password but the
log on requires a Domain. I did not make the
machine part of a Domain. Is there a default
Win 98 Domain to be able to log in? I'm locked
out. Thanks. Marvin K.

What happens if you hit ESC key instead of entering a password? Does that registry key force an entry of userID and valid password that cannot be bypassed?
